IMPROVING HEALTH AND RELATIONSHIPS
Empowering Connections Agency's mission is to improve health and relationships.
We define health as well-being across physical, mental, social, and spiritual realms.
We believe that if one aspect of health is off, it impacts all the others.
This holistic approach informs the therapeutic services we provide.
SAFE SPACE FOR YOUR JOURNEY
-
Psychotherapy is individual therapy for problems that are predominately psychological.
-
You don't need a formal diagnosis to seek help, but many do.
-
Common topics addressed in individual psychotherapy include:
-
Chronic Illness management
-
Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar disorder
-
Healthy relationships and communication
-
Sexual health (Arousal disorders, Orgasm issues, etc.)
-
Gender identity exploration
-
Trauma
-
-
Your therapist helps guide you through your current understanding of your problems and can give you feedback about your blind spots.
-
The most important aspect affecting your results is the therapeutic relationship between yourself and your therapist.

SAFE SPACE FOR YOUR JOURNEY

The most important aspect affecting your results is the therapeutic relationship between yourself and your therapist.

Some sessions will look like traditional talk therapy.

For clients who like adding structure to their emotional work, they may get worksheets or "assigned" readings in between talk therapy sessions.

Throughout therapy, your therapist will check in with you on how you are managing the symptoms you presented with.

Therapy usually ends once the therapist and you decide it is no longer necessary or you have accomplished all the goals that you set.

COUPLES THERAPY
Our therapists believe there is hope for change within any relationship. Couples therapy is an intimate process for exploring a relationship's strengths and weaknesses. We use evidence-based techniques with a focus on collaboration between the couple and their therapist.

SEX THERAPY
Sex therapy is psychotherapy that focuses on a particular issue dealing with sexuality. It can be done in individual or couples formats. Our therapists value transparency and collaboration, especially when addressing delicate issues connected to sexuality. Sex therapy may address issues such as anxiety, arousal, boredom, desire differences, and gender identity development. We follow the American Association of Sexuality Educators Counselors and Therapists (AASECT) Code of Ethics to protect our clients.
FLEXIBLE PAYMENT OPTIONS

We operate as an out-of-network provider, which means payment is collected at the time of service.

Testimonials

She created a warm, welcoming, validating environment where it felt comfortable to talk about anything without judgment. She is a great person to talk to when making difficult decisions and confronting feelings that are hard to face. I highly recommend!
- Client

Libby is an excellent counselor. She focuses on what matters to me. Libby remembers details about my life and leaves me with home work and good things to think about to further my personal growth faster.
- Client

I have already recommended Libby to friends who are looking into counseling. She really helps set a safe space for healing centered engagement.
- Client

From our experience, Libby adapts her counseling to her patients and spends time trying to learn how to do that to meet their needs. She's realistic, constructive, and positive in her feedback. We have found her to be approachable and results oriented as opposed to burdening us with background and "psychoanalysis" that we've found unproductive from past councilors . We highly recommend her.
